So, there's this kid in school. I didn't know their name, or anything about them (including their gender) until today's pep rally. I had recognized this kid before because they looked exactly like David Bowie. A perfect doppelganger, except a combination of '76 Bowie's haircut and '67 Bowie's face. I had talked about this kid before to my friends, and was pretty excited when I noticed that that kid was going to be talking at today's pep rally.
We walk into the pep rally, (by 'we', I mean Grace, Jack and I) and start looking around at all the available clubs and committees. After we all cram into the gym and watch the introduction video, the football team comes out with the school mascot, and for some reason, they call themselves the 'Goon Squad'. It made no sense, as our school team is not the Goons, nor are they actually a squad, but I appreciated the second Bowie reference in the same room.

My favorite part about the Goon Squad is that they regularly interrupted the concil's introductions by yelling the word they just said. For example:
"You can sign up over there."
"OVER THERE!" (Yelling, whooping and clapping follow)
You'd think that after 30-some speeches that it would get old. It didn't, surprisingly.
