As we were near Ottawa, we decided to have a chuckle or two and go visit Avril and Maureen one more time. Since it was Sunday, and they have a habit of sleeping in, we went to our old church to see how exactly they redid the entrance. One thing I noticed is that church is a lot more enjoyable when there's an actual band and good singers in the choir. The church here has priests that drone on and on, and the single piano with tone-deaf kids singing. The church in Ottawa has got a piano, a guitar and an electric bass. And the songs didn't sound like church songs; they sounded like Christian Rock, if that's a thing. So, that's cool.
We went to visit Avril and Maureen after that. Played Grounders on the playground equipment, played Spoons and Apples To Apples, all that jazz. Basically a rerun of the last time we visited them, except without fireworks at the end.
