When I saw you'd updated this I was delighted, I'm so happy you decided to give us some closure. Steven's fond reminiscence of Slash's teasing was so cute, and this line "I didn’t complain much; as long as they were sleeping somewhere beautiful," was perfect, so peaceful and tender. And Izzy always knowing how to listen, him sitting their listening and smiling proudly at Steven's sobriety, looking cool as ever, that was so evocative. I find it adorable that Axl only showed up so the five of them could be together again, I'm really liking this more caring vampire version of him. So when you say Izzy 'retired', do you mean he sensed himself about to go rogue like Duff, and killed himself? Or did he get Axl to do it? Joining Slash and Duff's last names was a lovely idea, and the line about them f**king in heaven was a nice bit of humour to lighten up the otherwise very sad yet strangely serene atmosphere. I love the picture at the end, and I loved this story! I really hope you write another GnR fic. Thank you for this!
Come on, who wouldn't want to wake up to that every morning? That's why fanfic writing is so addictive. Well, I actually got this one while I was in shop class, but I still fangirl-freaked out at it and made two people near me read it.
It's really fun to freak out like that.
I feel like that now since I titled this post the way I did, tomorrow's going to bring accidents.
