I seem to be having a lot of accidents these days. Bizarre, isn't it? Well, today, all I wanted to do was come up with a new fanfiction concept. I had one already in the works, but it wasn't going anywhere. It was a bizarre high school, Romeo and Juliet type of thing between Vince Neil and Steven Adler. I might have been able to squeeze a one-shot out of what I had, but it wasn't enough. Then, I started connecting the dots in my head: What would Nikki Sixx be like in high school. Well, he'd probably be kind of like John Bender from The Breakfast Club. Wait, what if Nikki was Bender? And what if Steven was Allison? What if the story was called The Breakfast Crue? What if I'm actually a total genius?
So that's what happened. I started finding similarities between the movie and the members of Motley Crue and GN'R. But enough about my genius. Time for my genius accident.
When I was going through Dad's old Stones albums, I noticed the album Some Girls had a lot of writing on the cover, both front and back; things that could be useful for a Stones fanfic. So, I took it out of the cabinet and put it beside the record player, so that I could properly read over it when I had the time. Plus, it also had the song Beast Of Burden on it, and I love that song. I figured I'd listen to it at some point. As soon as the needle dropped and the music started, I recognized the first song, Miss You, right away. I had heard it before, on the radio station Dad used to play when I was 4. It was one of the only songs I still remembered, as well as one of the only ones I still didn't know what it was. I started freaking out, fangirl-style. I do that whenever I discover songs from my childhood that I never knew were. I did he same thing when I heard D'Yer Mak'er by Led Zeppelin the first time. And the first time I reheard I by KISS. (Turns out, the first KISS song I ever heard was from one of their most disliked albums.)
So, now, Some Girls is my favorite Stones album.
