Isn't sunlight wonderful? If you're one of those weird emo people, you probably answered 'no'. If you were me from 17 days ago, you probably answered 'no'. If you were a person with a secret boyfriend, and you could only be 'together' when you're alone in nature, you probably answered 'yes'.
It should be known that I'm a notoriously lazy person if I don't benefit from whatever I've been told to do. This makes yard work a tedious chore, no matter how small the task. Since it was really nice out this morning, I was kicked out of the house to move the rocks around the driveway back into place and rake up the dead grass from the backyard. By the time I was excused, it was around 11. I ate lunch and read until 12, when Dad took me to Wal-Mart to get some burnable CDs.
I like shopping with Dad, because you never only get what you came for. We went for CDs, conditioner, to check his blood pressure and pick up a book put on hold for me at the library. We came back with The Best Of Guns N Roses, The Revenant, The Six Million Dollar Man (Season 1), The Simpsons (Season 16).
I watched The Revenant before I started blogging, and laughed out loud at the final scene in the movie, when Leo's character is looking directly at the camera. You can practically hear him saying: "Please, for the love of God, give me the stupid Oscar!"
You might be wondering what exactly the "other things" mentioned in the title of this post were. I'll tell you. It was beautiful out, and a weekend. I had practically 5 hours to do whatever I wanted. When I have a large amount of free time like that, I ask Angus to go on a walk with me. We had two hours, and used every minute of them. Angus is the perfect boyfriend; he's sweet, smart, he lives nearby, and we know practically everything about each other. He wore a Led Zeppelin shirt today. He probably didn't even notice, but I did.
Whenever we walk anywhere, we talk about the most random things. It's usually about the other kids in our class. Today, it was mostly about Jack and Oliver.
Around 2:30, Angus said he better start going home, because he still had to go buy cleats for Monday, and nothing is open on Sundays. We decide to do one more thing before we go home. He proposed we go to what we call 'the meadow', and make out. That idea fell through when we found other people in the meadow. I got disappointed for a moment, then remembered that there was a place more secluded. Not as much right now, because there aren't any leaves, but good enough.
We made out as much as a scandal on a soap opera. I thought it was over when he stopped kissing my neck, and we both rested on each other's shoulders. "Do you want to kiss my neck?" he asked. "Yes." I whispered. After a little neck-kissing action, I asked if he wanted to go to second base, which was responded to quite enthusiastically. I think it was about here that he took his shirt off. We didn't get any farther than him touching my chest, but it was pretty sweet.
The funny thing is, my watch stopped before we really started on our walk, and yet I got home 3 minutes before when I said I'd be back. Dad didn't know I was gone, and Mom congratulated me on walking for so long.
Eventually, we're going to have to tell our parents, but let's hope that day is still a little farther off; we've only been dating for 16 days.
Wow, 16 days.
It feels like an eternity...
Because I can't imagine life if I hadn't stopped being a wuss.
