Day 36- Correct Me If I'm Wrong...

A library is supposed to be a quiet area, is it not? A library is supposed to have areas for people to quietly read, study and write, is it not?
Then it would be quite against the norm of a library for it to be open mike day, in the most public area of the library, (using amps, so you can hear it everywhere) as well as all tables either taken for studying or put away for the open mike, rendering it impossible to have a table to write on.
This is the deal I was faced with. As well as a button-making machine being operated near the only available table.
I walked into the library, planning to stay for 2 hours, while Mom was at a baby shower. I didn't plan to read, just to plan out exactly what was going to happen in my novel. (Still wondering if Paul is actually going to kill the guys or if I just need to make people think he easily could have pulled it off.)
I'm sitting in the corner of the library, with a binder full of paper open beside me and my earbuds in, so I can somewhat drown out all the people NOT WHISPERING! I'm in the middle of a being on a roll, when this librarian with an English accent comes up to me. Our conversation went something like this:
Librarian: What're you writing?
Me: (Removes earbud) Hmm?
Librarian: Are you one of the students studying?
Me: No, I'm just writing.
Librarian: What're you writing?
Me: A science fiction novel.
Librarian: Oh, that sounds interesting.
Keep in mind that if I had been any farther into the corner, I would have been the corner. She let me be after our brief conversation, but it was just long enough for me to totally forget my train of thought. At the time, I had figured out how Paul could have killed the guys, but due to socializing, I just put down some sort of rambling about covering the Spatium's thumbs, so they can't teleport. (Question nothing, if you please.)
It's nearing May, so it's nearing the time when I create my mixed CD. I've made one most years since I was 4. My first mixed CD, entitled 'Kat's Favs', was composed of half Beatles, and the other half was a mix of Shania Twain, Avril Lavegne, Roxette, and the Doodlebops. I still have that CD, and would be lying if I said I haven't played it within the last few years.
Last year's was right before I got into the Doors, Alice Cooper, Def Leppard and Led Zeppelin. I had a concussion when I made last year's. I made it so that it combined all the single songs that I enjoyed, when I didn't really like the rest of them. (Concussion= no screens, no reading, no sports. I could basically lie in bed and listen to music. Mom was concerned about the volume, but the doctor said that if I felt fine, I could keep it as loud as I darn well pleased, so I did.) I had already listened to all my CDs, so I pulled out some of Dad's CDs that contained at least one song I recognized. In the end, last year's mixed CD was mainly Van Halen and newer KISS songs, with a sprinkling of other classic rock. Since I put all my favorite songs from 'The Best Of Van Halen Vol. 1', I found one that wasn't on there to open this year's. I can't burn it until at least next week, because Ace Frehley's new album is being delivered next week, and I'll probably want some songs from there.

Feel The Good Feels, My People!
