Day 70- Festivus

When I was back there in seminary school, there was a person there who put forth the proposition that you can petition the Lord with prayer. Petition the Lord with prayer. Petition the Lord with prayer.
YOU CANNOT PETITION THE LORD WITH PRAYER!
If you know where those words come from, you are a true believer. But none of that matters today. I just like where those words come from.
Today was a fun day where there were no actual classes, just games and such. It was also favorite holiday day, so I dressed up fancy-like for Festivus. If you don't know what Festivus is, you may as well just skip today's post, because I'm tired enough as it is without having to go into the backstory of Festivus.
I spent the first hour of today doing nails (totally called out this homophobe who was saying that Matthew getting sparkly nails was 'gay'. I told him to stop being such a homophobe and get his own sparkles. So he did) I got a black star around my right eye and beat a teacher at the coin flip. Second hour, my class beat another class at kickball, tied them at soccer, and I beat Jamaal and Liam at 21.
Third period, I spent in the karaoke room, getting myself prepared mentally for the talent show later. Sammy G was the self-imposed MC for the karaoke room. No one actually wanted to sing, just listen. So there were only three people who actually sang: Me, Sammy G and Duncan. I sang three songs, starting with Doom And Gloom by the Rolling Stones, then Stayin Alive by the Bee Gees and finished with All About The Pentiums by Weird Al (not an easy rap, and I did it without lyrics) Sammy G introduced me every time, complimenting me in sort of weird ways. (Not going to complain. Angus didn't compliment me like that. Speaking of Angus, he always wanted to watch me rap in public, and he only stayed for Doom And Gloom.)
Then the talent show. I wasn't prepared. Alan and I had only practiced with the version with words, not the karaoke version. I was so nervous. We go up to the backstage, and we are told that we're running low on time, and they want to put the people who weren't singing on first, with the singers on next. Alan and I were singing Barbie Girl by Aqua, if I never mentioned it. WE RAN OUT OF TIME AND DIDNT HAVE TO SING! ITS A FESTIVUS MIRACLE!
P.s. I discovered I am extremely fond of ties. Tying them, and wearing them.
