Day 125- Still Not The Worst Place Ever (July 14)

Now, Vancouver isn't my favorite place in the world. But I won't deny it when someone says it's pretty. Vancouver is actually quite stunning. Stanley Park has a certain charm to it, as does anywhere that's just the outskirts of the city and not downtown. Downtown has very little charm, but it does have personality. Someone once described Vancouver to me as the "C. Montgomery Burns town; it's a little hard to get used to, and takes all your money, but once you love it, you never stop." A fairer description has never been said.
On my second day in Vancouver, we went up Grouse mountain in a cable car and walked for too many bloody hours in Stanley Park. (FOR GOODNESS SAKE, THEY ARE TREES!
...what he said.)
Vancouver was the halfway point of the trip. By this time, I was starting to get tired of people being around all the time, and having no privacy whatsoever. Like, a full month went by before I could sing along with David Bowie. HOW DOES ONE LIVE?
