July 12 was mostly spent driving through national parks. I'm not totally complaining, I mean, it was totally gorgeous. Splendid. Magnificent. Worth every minute of driving. Where I live, there aren't a lot of hills, let alone mountains. Jasper National Park was the exact opposite of that. The mountains were breathtaking. I ended up crossing something off my bucket list that I didn't even know was on it. We crossed into British Columbia that day, and spent the night in a little town called Valemount. There were so few restaurants, we ended up eating at A&W. Not complaining about that, either. It was actually quite tasty. But the hotel room, man, was it awesome!
It had a loft above the main room with 3 queen-sized beds and a bathroom. The main room itself, had a twin bed and a pull-out couch and another bathroom. Each kid got their own bed. I DIDN'T HAVE TO SHARE WITH MELANIE! She is a bed hog like you wouldn't believe.
I took the bed nearest the railing overlooking the main room. I could see all these mountains without moving from a sleeping position.
Valemount: Food isn't great, but, man, is that view spectacular!
